  • How do I consign?
Head to CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT / HOW IT WORKS and take a look at the remaining FAQs for additional info.
  • What kinds of items do you take?
We take women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories, from activewear to eveningwear. Items should be in new, like-new, or in excellent condition. As well, items must be current styles, in season, clean and neatly folded. As for brands we accept, we frequently say “from J.Crew to Chanel”. If you shop at wish, it’s likely that you are familiar with the style, quality, condition and brands we accept. Stop in, or check out our social media to get an idea for yourself. a note about mini wish and mr. wish: although you may see children's and men's items in our store or here on our website, please understand that they are very small departments in our store and we are not accepting new consignors for either category.
  • Should items be in bags or hangers?
Items should be clean and neatly folded in a reusable shopping bag (like those found at Home Goods etc, no garbage/ paper/ grocery bags please). We may need to keep the bag. Please consider bringing a second bag to bring home any rejected items.
  • Do I need an appointment to consign?
You don’t need an appointment, but you must read through all of our FAQs, HOW IT WORKS and fill out our CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT as well as make a list of the items you drop off for consignment and bring it with you when you come to drop off. We reccomend checking our consignment SCHEDULE first.
  • Is there a limit to how many items I can drop off?
New consignors are limited to 30 items per season, so only bring your best stuff!
  • How and when can I drop off?
All drop off info can be found in HOW IT WORKS, but the gist is you can drop off when we are open and during the correct season’s drop off SCHEDULE.
  • What don't you take?
Categories Wish usually does not accept: suits, bridesmaid dresses, wedding gowns, prom dresses or juniors clothing.
  • Do you take deisgner replicas?
Wish does not accept designer replicas or inauthentic designer goods. Should there be any doubt of authenticity, Wish may choose to have an item authenticated by a 3rd party. Unless the consignor can provide proof of purchase, the cost of authentication will be deducted from the consignor’s account upon the sale of the item.
  • Do you wash or dry clean items after they're dropped off?
The short answer: no. We ask that all items come to us clean and hanger ready. Should an item be dropped off and in need of cleaning, we may choose to donate the item or attempt to clean the item. Cleaning an item will result in a $5 charge against your account when the item sells. Please understand we only do this with items we think have a very high chance of selling and that are monetarily worth our time to do so, otherwise the item will be donated. Take a really close look at your items for imperfections and cleanliness before you drop off.
  • How do I check on my account?
Use our website to REQUEST A LIST, REQUEST UNSOLDS, BALANCE INQUIRY or to REQUEST A CHECK.
  • Can I ship items to wish for consignment?
Yes! We proudly have consignors all over! Before you ship your items please make sure you've emailed us a list of the items you're planning to send, and have filled out our CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT. After getting confirmation from us (if it's your first time shipping consignment) ship your items, with tracking, to Wish, 80 Thames St, Newport RI 02840. Please share tracking details with us via email so we know when to expect your items. Items consigned via mail that are rejected or do not sell are not currently eligible for return to the consignor unless you pick them up in person within 30 days of the End Date (same as our standard consignment policy regarding Expired Items). If you have specific questions about this policy or your items, please let us know. To have a better idea if an item will be accepted for consignment, consider sending us photos of your items for consideration.
  • How do you set prices?
Prices are set based on comparative items, condition, original value, and market prices. Keep in mind that with deeper discounts being taken at department stores and retailers (e.g. TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, etc.) for new items, the gently used items we sell must be competitively priced under those price points.
  • What happens to expired items?
Items left at Wish 30 days after their End Date become Expired and therefore property of Wish.
  • What if I forget to pick up my unsold items?
Items left at Wish longer than 120 days (90 day consignment term plus 30 day pickup period) become property of Wish. Please understand that we don’t have unlimited storage to hang onto items left longer than 30 days after the consignment term. Stay in touch with us. We know many of our consignors split their time in another location or are just plain busy. Although we won't notify you if you haven't picked up, we are happy to hear from you if you're trying to get here and things aren't going to plan.
  • Am I still an "existing" or "active" consignor?"
Consignors are considered existing or active if they've actively used their consignor account in the last 12 months. This includes consigning or spending accrued account credit. Need to check if you're an existing consignor? Get in touch
